By Pavel Kantorek
Updated UpdatedThe city of Wolverhampton could have a brand new business school by 2015 if its university’s planning application is approved.
The proposal spreads lecture theatres, seminar rooms, offices and even a café across six floors and it is hoped that it will give a new lease of life to the University of Wolverhampton’s current business school facilities.
University dean lays out her vision for Wolverhampton’s new business school
Dr Anthea Gregory, dean of the university’s Faculty of Social Sciences, where the present Wolverhampton Business School is based said, “This latest development will further improve what we can offer to students and enhance the experience they have with us.
“We want the new business school to provide an exciting learning environment supported by the latest technology and able to offer tailored facilities to meet the needs of learners from sub-degree level right the way through to executive education.”
The idea of a revamped business school comes as part of a larger expansion scheme on the part of the University of Wolverhampton. Its location is designed to put it at the heart of a city that is now home to over 250,000 people as well as to stimulate economic regeneration in the region.
If the plans are approved, work is due to begin on the school by the end of this year, with an anticipated completion date of May 2015.
